Lorin Gutierrez is more than proud of her mom Ruffa Gutierrez for pursuing her dreams to finish her schooling even at 46.
In a press conference with the media, the showbiz newcomer said her mom has always instilled in her that education should be her top priority.
“Natutuwa ako kasi as I’m starting college, my mom’s also starting college at the same time. Who would have thought that me and my mom would be starting college at the same time?” she said.
The 17-year-old even shared that she’s now helping her mom with her projects for school. Lorin jested that she hopes her mom would help her out with college as well as she starts the school year.
“I think it’s really fun and I’m super super proud of her and I know how passionate she is about it and I’ve seen firsthand how hard she works and how hard she studies and really she tries her best.
“It’s always good no matter how old you are no matter how far you’ve gone in life to discover new passions and discover new things you wanna do,” she said.
Early May, Ruffa announced that she will be taking up communication arts under the expanded tertiary education equivalency and accreditation program (ETEEAP) at the Philippine Women’s University.
Lorin, meanwhile, is taking up Marketing in college and plans to pursue law school after.
