The legal camp of Rita Daniela has confirmed that the actress’ complaint for acts of lasciviousness against actor-comedian Archie Alemania has officially reached the court.
According to PEP.ph, Atty. Maggie Abraham-Garduque, Rita’s legal counsel, has confirmed that they have reportedly received a copy of the resolution from the Office of the City Prosecutor of Bacoor on February 4, 2025.
The resolution, which found probable cause, recommended the filing of charges against Archie based on the evidence and eyewitness testimonies presented.
The complaint was initially filed by Rita in October 2024 at the Office of the City Prosecutor in Bacoor City after she was allegedly harassed by Archie during and after an intimate gathering with fellow celebrities.
Atty. Garduque stated that Rita might refrain from making any statements for now. She, however, expressed gratitude for the resolution, as it had been a long-awaited development for the Kapuso actress.
In an official statement, Atty. Garduque shared Rita’s sentiments as quoted by PEP.ph: “We are very happy about it. Rita is now one step closer to the justice she deserves. She wants to thank all the people who supported her along the way albeit she prays for continues support and prayer as she elevates her legal battle in court.”
Multiple news outlets have reported that a warrant of arrest is likely to be issued soon against Alemania, with bail set at P36,000 for his temporary release.
