Maris Racal laughs off speculations about wearing ‘couple shoes’ with Anthony Jennings

Actress Maris Racal has broken her silence on rumors surrounding a photo of her supposedly wearing “couple shoes” with on-screen partner Anthony Jennings.

The buzz began in September when a video and photo showing Maris and Anthony sitting on a set of stairs in the Italian city of Bari, accompanied by actors Richard Gutierrez and Barbie Imperial, went viral on social media platforms.

It is worth noting that the reel couple and their fellow artists including Kaila Estrada, Daniel Padilla, Ian Veneracion, and Baron Geisler flew to Italy to film their upcoming action series Incognito“.

The image of Maris and Anthony, however, sparked speculation online about the nature of their relationship, with some netizens speculating about their real score.

In a recent interview with entertainment reporter MJ Marfori, the actress clarified the situation, laughing off the “couple shoes” label.

“Actually, nagkataon lang talaga na same kami ng shoes. Natawa na lang nga ako sa nangyari, kasi nagkataon lang talaga na ‘yun ‘yung sapatos namin,” Maris explained.

She added that she had owned her pair for years, saying, “Matagal na akong may ganoong sapatos. Like, three years ago na ‘yon or two.”

“Nagkasabay lang talaga,” Racal clarified.

It can be recalled that in July, Maris clarified that Anthony was not a factor in her controversial breakup with OPM icon Rico Blanco.

She explained that the decision to part ways after five years was her own, stating that Anthony was “out of the picture” when it came to her previous relationship.

Moreover, Jennings also denied rumors alleging his involvement in the ex-couple’s split.
