Andrea Brillantes denies accusations of ‘VIP treatment’ at Olivia Rodrigo’s GUTS Tour in Manila

Actress Andrea Brillantes took to Instagram to clarify a misunderstanding after sharing a video of herself lining up for Olivia Rodrigo’s “GUTS” world tour in Manila.

The Filipino-American pop star’s concert drew massive crowds at the Philippine Arena in Bulacan on Saturday, with Andrea among the many fans and Pinoy celebrities eagerly waiting to see the performance.

In her initial Instagram story, Andrea excitedly shared, “I was the first one to line up sa [queue] number lane namin omg НАВАВАНАНАНАНАНАНА,” which led some to believe she had received “special treatment” at the event.

She quickly addressed the confusion in a follow-up post, explaining, “Oopsiee— I just realized I worded that poorly, and it came off as me bragging about my spot. But y’all got it wrongggg:/”

The actress emphasized that her position at the front of the line was simply due to her arriving early and not because of any “VIP treatment”.

“What I meant to say was, sa aga ko pumila kaninang umaga I ended up first in line in my queue number lane. Kaya ako lang tao nandun [because] I lined up very early for it 🙂 it wasn’t VIP treatment or anything magical,” Andrea clarified.

Prior to this, Brillantes had previously responded to a TikTok post claiming that she had claimed her ticket for the concert ahead of its official release date.

The issue arose when a TikTok user claimed that Andrea had somehow received physical tickets ahead of time, sparking frustration among fans.

The post stated, “Many of us have been waiting for two weeks for our tickets, and we feel very wronged to have this outcome, especially now that there has been a post made by Andrea Brillantes about having physical tickets despite them supposedly not being available until September 28.”

Addressing the accusations, Andrea took to social media to clear up the misunderstanding.

“I rarely address comments or posts like these, but Olivia’s GUTS album means a LOT to me. Honestly po, I have no idea about the post you’re referring to,” wrote Andrea.

“I NEVER posted anything like that, and it would’ve been IMPOSSIBLE because I didn’t even have a physical ticket before the 28th,” she clarified.

Expressing empathy for the frustrations of fans, Andrea added, “I understand the frustrations po, I really reallyvyy do, but I don’t see why it’s necessary to drag my name into this and spread false information po :((“

“Regardless of my ‘status’ or whatever, I’m also just a fan of Olivia and want to enjoy the GUTS tour, as the album means SOOOOOO much to me,” she reiterated her genuine love for the “Driver’s License” singer.

In closing, the actress reiterated her stance, stressing, “Again, I never posted anything claiming that I had physical tickets before September 28th. I never posted, and I didn’t have them either. Salamattttt.”
