Philmar Alipayo breaks silence on controversial TikTok video of him with content creator

Philmar Alipayo, fiancé of actress Andi Eigenmann, has spoken out regarding the controversy surrounding his TikTok video with content creator Crissa Habibi.

In an interview with veteran host Boy Abunda, Philmar addressed the issue that has been circulating on social media.

During his program, Fast Talk with Boy Abunda, Boy shared a teaser of his upcoming TV special My Mother, My Story, which features an interview with Eigenmann, set to air on June 9, 2024

Abunda then mentioned that he had also spoken with Philmar about the viral video which has now been deleted by the original uploader on her TikTok page.

The video showed Philmar leaning his head towards Crissa while looking at her face. It also captured him playfully kicking the content creator’s leg while holding her waist.

“For the first time, Philmar addressed this circulating issue regarding the viral video that’s causing a stir on social media,” Boy began.

According to Philmar and Andi, the video showed the professional surfer having a friendly conversation with Crissa after consuming some drinks, and that’s all there was to it.

“What happened was, uminom si Philmar, had a friendly conversation with this girl on the video and that’s it,” explained Boy.

Initially, the couple found the video amusing, but their concern grew as the clip was edited and uploaded to create a scandalous narrative.

“Kaya nung una nilang nakita ang video, nagtawanan lang sila ni Andi, but what bothered them, it was edited and uploaded to create an issue,” Boy shared.

Prior to Alipayo’s statement, Andi had already accused the video of being intentionally edited to garner online attention.

“He can go out with his friends, go drinking every once in a while, and chat with whoever he wants. No harm in that,” Andi defender her partner.

She continued, “What’s shameful is purposely posting and editing a video to cause a stir, disturbing the peace of people and dragging them into their negativity; just for some social media attention.”
