David Licauco apologizes for being ‘suplado’ during photo-op with fans

Kapuso heartthrob David Licauco took to social media to apologize for his “uncomfortable” facial expression while taking photos with his fans.

A video of the Kapuso actor recently went viral on social media platforms where he appeared tired and uninterested during his interaction with fans.

Despite his visible discomfort, the “Pambansang Ginoo” still managed to put on a smile while his fans snapped photos next to him.

The incident, however, garnered mixed reactions from online users who expressed their opinions towards David’s behavior with his fans.

Meanwhile, others defended him, calling out critics for being “entitled” and “abusive”, emphasizing celebrities’ rights to their privacy and having boundaries with their fans while some shared their past experiences upon meeting the artist.

Nevertheless, David addressed the issue on X (formerly Twitter) by reacting to a comment on the video: “May sakit ako niyan beh tapos 1 am na yan hehe sorry po ☺️🙏 bawi ako next time ha 🥹😘😄.”

According to a report by Pang-Masa, David is currently preparing to undergo surgery this month for his sleep apnea, a sleep disorder that interrupts breathing during sleep.

In his interview on “24 Oras,” the Maging Sino Ka Man star expressed anticipation for the procedure, highlighting its importance in improving his daily life and mental health.

“I just can’t wait for that day na mas maging OK ako dahil it’s affecting my daily life, my mental health, so I want to do it. I just want that to be over para mas, again, to live my best life,” David said.
