Senator Robin Padilla pranks wife Mariel Rodriguez with Taylor Swift song

Netizens were amused by TV host Mariel Rodriguez’s conversation with her husband Robin Padilla which involved a “scandalous third party” prank.

The exchange began when the actor-politician mentioned to his wife that he had something urgent to tell her.

“Babe, eskandalo ‘to,” Robin messaged.

Mariel responded reassuringly, saying, “[B]abe kung ano man ‘yan alam mo na ako ay lagi nasa likod mo. Ano nangyayari?”

The senator replied, “[B]abae babe. Naglabas na yun babae ng ebidensya. Batid na ng buong mundo.”

Mariel was naturally taken aback, writing back, “Ha? Hindi ko maintindihan,” and even mentioned the only person she knew who might be involved with him whose name was not disclosed.

Despite the worry in his wife’s response, Robin quipped, “Girlfriend ko babe. Naglabas na ng ebidensya kahapon. Alam na ng buong mundo.”

Surprised, Mariel asked to see the evidence to which Robin then showed her the link to American pop star Taylor Swift’s song titled “Robin”, from her newly-released album, “The Tortured Poets Department”.

“[W]ala na ako magawa. Nilabas na ni Taylor Swift,” joked Robin.

Mariel, bewildered by her husband’s antics, exclaimed, “[B]akit gusto mo ako mamatay? [G]rabe. Yung kalamnan ko. Ikaw talaga.”

Robin could only burst into laughter while her wife jokingly scolded him for his prank.

“Sorry babe. Hehehheheh. Good time lang. Nagalit ka ba?”, the senator apologized to his wife.

To which she responded, “[N]ever. You are cute. I miss you.”

However, Mariel followed up with a warning, writing, “[W]ag ka magkaka girlfriend. Mamatay ako.”

Netizens couldn’t help but laugh along with the couple’s playful banter, finding it both amusing and endearing.
