SHINee’s Taemin to part ways with SM Entertainment after 16 years

K-pop boy band SHINee’s Taemin is reportedly set to conclude his exclusive contract with SM Entertainment after more than a decade.

The news, reported by k-entertainment news outlet AllKpop, announced on Tuesday, March 5 that Taemin will end his contract with SM Entertainment by the end of March.

“As Taemin’s exclusive contract comes to an end, he is poised to embark on a new chapter in his career as a singer under a different agency. However, it is expected that SHINee will continue to collaborate with SM Entertainment for their group activities,” AllKpop stated in the report.

The boy group recently expanded its “SHINee World VI: Perfect Illumination” tour with two new dates in Singapore and Hong Kong.
