Mariel Rodriguez Padilla is mourning the death of her mom who passed away two days before Christmas.
The actress-host took to Instagram over the weekend to announce the passing of her mom, April Ihata, sharing a reel and throwback photos of her through the years including those with her grandchildren.
“Thanks for always being proud of me. Rest now mom,” Mariel wrote as caption.
No other details were shared by Mariel on her mother’s death.
Friends and fellow celebrities, meanwhile, were spotted leaving words of condolences in the comments section.
