According to a report by local news outlet Pang-Masa, the BI ordered O’Brian’s deportation due to violations. He was also placed on the immigration blacklist, canceling his employment for visa, and a Warrant of Deportation was issued against him.
The resolution stated that Lee violated the terms of his stay due to his active involvement in films, television programs, and theater from 2016 to 2023.
The resolution was signed by all three members of the Board of Commissioners: Commissioner Norman Tansingco, Deputy Commissioner Joel Anthony Viado, and Deputy Commissioner Daniel Laogan.
Pokwang filed the deportation case against Lee last June, citing allegations of financial abuse, intimidation, and abandonment of their daughter Malia. She also reported that Lee was able to renew his tourist visa despite working as an actor in the country.
In response to Pokwang’s complaint, Lee filed a counter-affidavit to the Kapuso host’s petition for his deportation.
