Isabelle Daza hands over P1M raised from fundraiser to domestic helper

Isabelle Daza was finally able to hand over P1 million worth of donations to Elvie Vergara, a domestic helper who reportedly suffered abuse from her former employers.

In her latest Instagram reel, Daza happily shared the good news that she had finally met with Elvie and given the donations in person through a check.

“Finally was able to give the money to Elvie Vergara herself. A total of ₱1,000,000 in a Manager’s check,” Isabelle wrote in her post.

She expressed her gratitude to those who have donated to her fundraising project, saying: “To those who donated, you have helped change a life, and thank you for trusting me that I wouldn’t scam you.”

Isabelle organized a fundraising campaign via the crowdfunding website GoGetFunding which ran until October 6, 2023, to assist Elvie with her medical treatment and daily expenses.

The 44-year-old housemaid allegedly suffered from several abuses for over three years from her employers, leading to her blindness.

The fundraising page has recorded a total of over P1 million worth of donations from 896 donors.

The host-actress initially set a goal of ₱300,000 when she launched the campaign for Elvie to help fund her operation to recover her sight.
