Yet another popular Filipino heartthrob is facing criticism for his serenade performance in a beauty pageant in Bacolod.
Following the viral acts of hunks Albie Casino and David Licauco, it seems that Carlo Aquino is the newest addition to controversial beauty pageant serenades.
A video of Carlo Aquino’s singing at the coronation night of Miss Bacolod Masskara 2023 went viral where he serenaded the contestants at the event, which coincided with the Masskara Festival in Bacolod held annually in October.
The actor performed Adie’s hit OPM love song, Paraluman.
Online users have been sharing the video of Carlo’s performance on social media platforms which received a variety of comments and reactions.
“Mickey Mouse yarn?” a netizen quipped.
“Idol kita sa actingan, pero sa kantahan no comment ?✌️,” commented another.
“Padami na sila ???? Luis Hontiveros, Albie Casino, Marco Alcaraz.. Iba na pala ang serenade ngayon,” a Tiktok user said.
Meanwhile, Carlo’s “much decent” cover of Paraluman also resurfaced online amidst the criticisms with netizens wondering about what could have gone wrong with his performance at the event. His cover was uploaded on TikTok in January 2022.
