Anji Salvacion reacts to criticisms of acting in Linlang: ‘I don’t wanna prove myself to anyone’

Actress Anji Salvacion addressed comments about her acting performance in the ABS-CBN suspense-thriller series, Linlang.

In her recent interview with DJ JhaiHo during an episode of Teleradyo Serbisyo, Anji reacted to the criticisms she received for her acting in the show, including those from talent manager Ogie Diaz.

Comments about the actress and her co-star, Idol Philippines finalist Kice, said that their presence “felt unnecessary for the show’s plot”.

Anji then clarified that there were scenes that were omitted from airing which she said would have emphasized her role more.

“Before that scene, may mga scene pa ‘yun na hindi [nasama] sa Prime [Video] kasi may limited din na time sa Prime,” she explained.

The former PBB housemate also shared her message to her fans not to mind the negative comments about her that were allegedly twisted by bashers.

I was there to call my Sunshines na huwag na nating patulan kasi at the end of the day, ‘di naman natin sila kilala. They are just there to judge us and all,” Anji said.

“Actually, ang gagaling ng bashers, na-connect nila ‘yung tweet ko sa sinabi ni Mama [Ogie]. Wala naman akong sinabing ganoon kay Mama,” she remarked, pertaining to the comments Diaz made on his Instagram story about Anji’s role in the show.

When asked about her response to online criticisms, Salvacion said, “Ang hirap kasing mag-explain and I don’t wanna prove myself to anyone kasi at the end of the day, may mga tao na they believe what they believe in and we cannot change their minds in their close-minded.”

“Just let them be, I don’t talk anymore. I just let them talk and talk and I’m just here gonna do my thing,” she added.

Meanwhile, it seems that Diaz posted a new comment on his X account today, Oct. 19, saying, “Episode 5 & 6 na, malakas na sana ang presence ni Anji, pero scripted pa din ang delivery ng lines, saka parang naka-botox ang mukha, kaya hindi makita ang facial lines.”

Linlang, which is currently one of the top-rated series in Prime Video Philippines, is top-billed by Kapamilya stars Paulo Avelino, Kim Chiu, and JM De Guzman.
