TV host Alexa Miro denied the rumors between her and Ilocos Norte Rep. Sandro Marcos who was allegedly courting her.
Following the viral video of another TV personality Yassi Pressman where she was seen getting cozy with the presidential son at a private gathering, netizens started to bring up Alexa’s name in conversations as she was also being linked to him in the past.
In an interview with entertainment journalist Nelson Canlas in his podcast titled “Updated with Nelson Canlas”, the sexy actress was asked if the presidential son was her suitor.
“I would like to be direct with my question, kayo ba o nanliligaw sayo si Cong?” Nelson asked.
To which Alexa directly answered, “No, hindi siya nanliligaw. Kami, like what I said in all of my past interviews, he’s one of my closest friends.”
“We trust each other with our problems and ganun din naman siya sa ibang best friends niya na girls and boys,” she said on their closeness.
Alexa expressed her gratitude to Sandro and his friends for accepting her in their group, sharing that she sees them as her family.
“Parang hindi na blood is thicker than water, parang water is thicker than blood sa kanila. Those who really have each other’s backs and ganun kami ni Cong,” she said.
The actress also mentioned that aside from her, Sandro has a lot of female friends.
“Si Cong — he hates it when we call him that — pamilya kami. He calls his friends his family. Marami talaga siyang kaibigang babae, as in marami kami sa group,” she shared.
“But I guess because I’m the fresh face, that’s what the people latched on to. Tapos lagi kaming magkasama pero hindi natitiyempuhan ang ibang friends,” said Alexa.
The celebrity host went on to open up about her being distraught over rumors about her alleged romance with Sandro, saying that rather than comforting her, the politician told her to ignore the bashers instead.
“Hindi niya ako kinomfort. Ang sinabi niya lang, ‘Bakit mo kasi pinapansin ang bashers? What you should think about is the line from ‘Game of Thrones’ where the lion doesn’t concern itself with the opinion of the sheep.’ Very strong kasi ‘yun, gan’un siya,” she told Nelson.
Alexa continued, “Hindi ko siya naiintindihan before but now I just choose to not even try to understand it because we all have our own opinions, anyway, and nothing that anyone can say will really change who you are.”
Rumors about their alleged romantic relationship sparked after Sandro accidentally revealed that he had a girlfriend from Bacoor, Cavite. Netizens speculated the mystery girl to be Alexa after she was seen attending the inauguration of Sandro’s father, Pres. Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. in Malacañang last June 2022.
At the time, she had also previously dismissed the gossip as she clarified that they were friends, according to previous reports.
