Cebuana actress Ellen Adarna willingly shared that her former partner John Lloyd Cruz is a “good provider” for their only son, Elias Modesto.
In a now-expired Instagram Story, Ellen replied to a follower who dropped a question about John Lloyd’s financial support to their five-year-old son.
“Did JLC support Elias financially?” the netizen asked.
To which Ellen answered: “Yes, he does.”
She also noted that the actor lets Ellen decide how much he should give for their son’s financial support.
“When he asked me, how much does Elias need, I gave him a breakdown of his basic needs, just his basic needs, and that’s 10,000 pesos max,” Ellen said.
“But he insisted on doubling it,” she added.
The actress remarked that she’s well aware that the actor can provide more than what they agreed, but she insists on not asking for anything more than P20,000.
“Because we are co-parenting, I have my obligations and responsibilities for Elias, so it’s just fair,” Ellen said.
“Anything more than P20,000 for me is just not right, morally not right because he’s not schooling yet,” she added.
In 2017, the ex-couple went public with their relationship. A year later, Ellen gave birth to Elias and agreed to co-parent him following their split in 2018.
Ellen is now married to hunk actor Derek Ramsay.
Meanwhile, John Lloyd is currently in a relationship with artist Isabel Santos.
Last week, Elias celebrated his fifth birthday with John Lloyd and Ellen, separately.
