Diego Loyzaga reveals he is now a father

Actor Diego Loyzaga broke the news in an Instagram post on Thursday, June 8, that he is now a father.

In his post, Diego uploaded a photo of him holding his baby.

“The best birthday gift ever,” Diego wrote in his post.

He didn’t identify the mother of the child.

Multiple media outlets have hinted at the actor’s possible fatherhood as speculations swirled a day before Diego made the announcement.

The speculations sparked after a teaser question was posed during an episode of the program Cristy Ferminute, hosted by Cristy Fermin and Romel Chika.

The episode aired on 92.3 Radyo 5 TRUE FM and One PH’s YouTube channel on Wednesday, June 7.

The teaser raised the controversial question, “REBELASYON at pinagpipistahan, Diego Loyzaga proud tatay na?”

The segment left fans and listeners intrigued about whether the actor had indeed become a father.

The host then introduced Diego as their special guest for the day, but the actor seemed to be missing as the program progressed.

Diego was supposedly scheduled to promote his movie together with co-star Julia Baretto, but the actor disappeared on air during the show for unknown reasons.

He previously dated Barbie Imperial in January 2021, marking their relationship official on Instagram with cozy photos of them together.

However, breakup rumors circulated after netizens noticed that the two did not post photos of each other for a month since celebrating their first anniversary as a couple last December 12, 2021.

In February 2022, Barbie revealed in an interview with ABS-CBN that she had ended her one-year relationship with the actor “on good terms”.

Months after his split with Barbie, Diego then revealed that he was dating former Pinoy Big Brother housemate Franki Russell.

The two, however, spurred “breakup” rumors in late June after eagle-eyed netizens noticed that they unfollowed each other on Instagram.

The actor is currently promoting his upcoming film under Viva Films, Will You Be My Ex, with Julia Barretto and Bea Binene as co-stars and Real Florido as director.

The film is set to release in cinemas on June 21.
