Erwan Heussaff bags prestigious award from James Beard Foundation

Filipino-French restaurateur and content creator Erwan Heussaff won the Social Media Account category of the James Beard Media Awards, which some have referred to as the Oscars of the culinary world. The award recognizes the works of individuals in creating food and beverage-related content.

On Sunday, June 4 (Manila time), the prestigious award-giving body announced its winners of the 2023 James Beard Foundation Media Awards.

Erwan, Andrew Huang, Ewa Huang, Jeromy Ko of Nom Life, and Kalamatas Kitchen were among the nominees in the category which “recognizes excellence in a single food-related post, or compilation of up to three posts.”

“I’m still shaking. We made it!!” Erwan wrote in his Instagram post which features a photo of him wearing a barong Tagalog and a James Beard award medal hanging from his neck.

His wife, Kapamilya actress Anne Curtis, was among those who congratulated him in the comments.

“Dahlia and I are so proud of you mon amour,” Anne wrote.

Media personality and Erwan’s sister Solenn Heusaff and her husband Nico Bolzico also congratulated him for his latest achievement.

Erwan started the YouTube channel FEATR, where he documents his trips while promoting local cuisines and other content creators, in addition to his Instagram account where he posts food-related features.

He rebranded his personal YouTube channel to FEATR in April 2021, to widen the challenge and collaboration with other content creators

Established in 1990, the James Beard Foundation promotes the importance of food culture and recognizes leaders of the F&B industry ranging from authors, journalists, and chefs.
