‘Di ko talaga gusto’: Marjorie Barretto doesn’t want son Leon to be an artista

“Oh my god! Please, I don’t like,” was Marjorie Barretto’s definite answer when her son Leon asked for her thoughts about him becoming an artista.

The mother-son duo was upfront and honest with each other in a recently uploaded question and answer vlog by the Barrettos’ unico hijo.

On Leon’s “Questions I Have Never Asked My Mom” video, Marjorie took the opportunity to express her hopes and dreams for her younger children.

She explained: “I’m just saying, I would like to see the second batch of my children outside of the industry. I wanna see you in the business, I wanna see you in a different path. Ang galing galing mo sa school.

“Takot ako baka ‘pag pumasok ka, biglang kang mag-stop mag school. ‘Wag na.”

The celebrity mom even revealed that even Leon’s siblings have disapproved of the thought of their brother becoming a celebrity.

If not a career in showbiz, Marjorie said she would want her son to get into medical school once he earns his college degree.

Back in June of 2021, the proud mom share that her son graduated from high school with high honors and seven medals.
