Tom Rodriguez opens up on life in US: ‘Gusto ko dito na ako mag-base din’

Tom Rodriguez has long-term plans of living in the United States with his family.

The actor opened up in a recent interview with Ogie Diaz that he would like a “lifeline” to his family based abroad.

“I’m trying to set up kasi parang na-enjoy ko na rin dito na-miss ko sobra yung family ko na hindi ko sila nakita  buong pandemic kaya mas gusto ko nandito rin. Pagkatapos ng project sa Pilipinas gusto ko dito na ako mag base kaya im trying to set that up,” he revealed.

Tom added that he wouldn’t mind going back and forth from the Philippines to the U.S. to be with his loved ones.

He added: “’Yan yung pinagkaka-abalahan ko, something more long-term. Maybe I can go back and forth kaysa nandoon lang na pirme talaga na kalahati ng buhay ko parang pinutol ko na rin. Gusto ko rin yung may lifeline ako dito sa pamilya ko.”

The 35-year-old has made it clear that he will continue his showbiz career in the Philippines as he disclosed that his home network has asked him to return to the Philippines next year for a project.

“My home network GMA has been kind enough to support me through it all and is having me go back soon next year,” he shared.

Tom made headlines months ago when he announced his divorce with Carla Abellana through his talent manager Popoy Caritativo’s social media account.
