‘You are my heart and my home’: Gelli de Belen pens open letter to sons Joaquin and Julio

Gelli de Belen opened up about her feelings on saying goodbye and on being away from her family for work.

In an Instagram post on Monday, July 11, the actress penned an open message towards her sons, Joaquin Andres and Julio Alessandro, as well as her husband Ariel Rivera.

“To the loves of my life… after the countless times we have had to part, saying goodbye should get easier when I leave, but I can never get used to it,” Gelli wrote.

“Breaks my heart every single time. Knowing it will be months before I get to hug you and kiss you both again,” she added.

The actress also shared how being apart from her children was the “most challenging part” of her life, but has nonetheless expressed her pride and gratefulness for “the kind of men” that Joaquin and Julio are becoming, stressing that they are her and Ariel’s “biggest blessings.”

“I cherish every wonderful moment we share, no matter how trivial or mundane. It is what I keep with me til the next time we make new memories together. I love you guys, you are my heart and my home,” she wrote.

Gelli then poked fun at herself for turning emotional, adding how she already misses her children.

In the same Instagram post, the actress also penned a short and simple yet sweet note towards Ariel.

“And to you my dearest hubby, I will see you soon Honey. I love you to the moon and back,” she wrote.

Gelli and her husband Ariel have been married for more than 20 years.

The couple were blessed with two sons: Joaquin and Julio, who are both based in Toronto, Canada, while Gelli and Ariel remain active in their work as actors in the Philippines.

Their family has recently been spending their time together in Canada as the two actors flew to the country to celebrate Julio’s graduation from college.
