Chito Miranda shares he was able to vote despite ‘inactive voter’s status’

Chito Miranda took to social media to share that he was able to cast his vote despite his “inactive voter status” at an online precinct finder.

The Parokya ni Edgar front man recounted his voting experience today with his wife Neri Naig.

“Inactive yung voter’s status ko sa online precinct finder, pero wala naman naging problema pagdating ko dito sa precinct namin,” he said.

Miranda said he was able to vote as his name was still on the list at their precinct.

In the Twitter post, he included a snap of him and his wife lining up along with the many voters at their polling place today.

Chito’s fans then corrected him as they advised him to include a period after his name suffix “Jr.”

“Active naman pala. Kelangan lang may period daw after the suffix,” he corrected.

Weeks before election day, the Commission on Elections (Comelec) and the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) activated an online precinct finder to help voters easily navigate their polling information.
