LJ Reyes couldn’t help but joke about the “generational gap” between her and her 11-year-old son Aki.
The celebrity mom recently opened up about how her son with her former partner Paulo Avelino will always be her “baby boy” even with the changes in their dynamic.
“I think I was quite young when I had you, but still the generational gap exists! Can’t deny that! Ako pa rin ang nanay, ikaw pa rin ang anak. There will be days when I wouldn’t understand you right away and vice versa,” she said.
LJ added that she no longer understands the music her son likes, while he finds the tunes from his mom’s generation “corny”.
“Ang kulit ko parang naka-repeat araw araw sa responsibilities mo, pero makulit ka rin naman sa kakaulit ng game time and currencies mo! So quits lang tayo,” wrote LJ.
The actress added that she hopes Aki will understand why she insists on putting God first.
“I still remember all the moments you made mommy very strong! And I keep that in my heart,” she ended.
The 34-year-old moved to the US with her kids Aki and Summer last August following her split with ex-partner Paolo Contis.
