Nikki Valdez has opened up that she is still healing from losing her and her husband Luis Garcia’s baby last year.
The actress shared her sentiments in an interview for morning show Magandang Buhay when she was asked about her in-vitro fertilization or IVF journey in December.
“It was last year when we lost our baby and talagang pinagdasal namin yun. Pinagisipan namin ng mabuti. We felt that we were led to it, everything – financially, emotionally,” she started.
Nikki shared that she and her husband spent time contemplating on the big move and even after losing her baby she is still trying to pray for what path she should take.
“Ngayon nasa journey pa rin ako ng trying to pray for kung ano ba yung path na gusto ni Lord na matahak ko. Let’s say na ito yung gusto ko pero hindi naman yun yung purpose niya for me then so be it,” she said.
The mother of one then admitted that she is still in the process of healing from what had happened but she does not regret their decision to try for a baby through IVF.
“Nasa healing stage pa ako. There are so many days na feeling ko di ko na lang pinapansin pero ngayon, no regrets because at least sinubakin namin.
“I pray for the total healing of my heart at tsaka kung si Olivia lang ang regalo sa amin, I will accept it and I will forever take care and love Olivia, kami ni Luis,” she ended.
Nikki and Luis tied the knot with a ceremony in Hong Kong back in 2018. The latter is blessed with a daughter named Olivia from her past relationship.
