An emotional Regine Velasquez penned how heartbreaking it was that her and husband Ogie Alcasid’s son Nate missed out on many life experiences because of the pandemic.
The singer poured her heart out on a social media post marking Nate’s 10th birthday.
“For the past two years I feel like he was deprived of so many things like going to school, attending birthday parties, seeing his cousins every weekend, travelling (he loves travelling), shopping, eating out at madami pang iba. Seeing him not being able to experience life is heart-breaking,” she wrote.
Despite this, Regine admitted she found comfort in knowing her son is safe at home and hoped he was learning life lessons from the pandemic.
“So sana maalala nya yung mga panahong ito at sana wag niya makalimutan. Kasi I think this experience will make him a strong person and by God’s grace a better person. Happy birthday my little man I love you so much,” she ended.
Meanwhile, Ogie penned a short but sweet message for their son, along with a video from his birthday salubong.
“I pray that you continue to be as loving, as sweet, and as sensitive my dear buddy. We love you much and we are very proud of you. Enjoy your special day boo!” he wrote.
