Yassi Pressman shares how boxing ‘saved’ her from a dark time

During her darkest times, Yassi Pressman turned to boxing to find her sense of purpose once more.

The actress took to social media to open up on how the combat sport has helped her battle with mental struggles.

“I remember a time where Boxing saved me, I was trying to move on from a dark time in my life where I quit everything. Everything… (let’s save that for later) but by finding this new hobby of mine, got my days exciting again, it made my mood swings go away because I had purpose again, purpose that pushed myself to be better than I was yesterday,” she wrote.

As more challenges faced her, she found interest in mixed martial arts (MMA) that helped her battle her anxiety.

Yassi then clarified that she is not pretending to be a professional, she is only grateful for the activities that make her feel alive.

“I salute every strong person out there who is fighting a battle that no one knows about. Keep going,” she said.

The 26-year-old advised her followers on the platform to keep their mind and body healthy.

Yassi ended: “I hope this reminder inspires you to find something to keep your mind and body healthy. Always take care of yourselves & check up on your friends.”
