A bride-to-be decided to sell her bridal gown, shoes, giveaways and wedding rings after finding out that her fiancé “cheated” on her weeks before they were supposed to exchange “I do’s”.
This Facebook post by a certain Junesa Ann Infante, the bride’s close friend, went viral when she posted all wedding items up for sale on Wednesday, April 28.
The bride-to-be also offered the reception venue’s rental fee at a discounted price.
According to Infante, her friend and groom, who had been a couple for 11 years, were originally scheduled to wed last December 21, 2020.
They decided to move the wedding date to March 27, 2021 but Metro Manila was put under Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) once again so they postponed the ceremony yet again to a later date. They came up with May 15, 2021 as their “final” wedding date.
But an expected turn of events happened when the woman’s fiancé was caught spending time with another girl.
“Nahuli ang groom na may kasamang babae sa isang beach with a girl… The girl actually posted their photos on a travel group… And lahat na ng proofs lumabas,” wrote Infante in a Facebook post.
Infante stressed that they were not online sellers or into online selling but that they just wanted to somehow ease the bride-to-be’s burden by helping her dispose of the things that would remind her of her cancelled wedding.
“Gusto lang namin tulungan ang bride ma-dispose lahat ng items para kahit papano mabawasan yung nagpapaalala sa kanya about the wedding,” stated Infante on Facebook.
As of writing, the wedding gear as well as discounted reception venue have all been snatched up by online buyers.
