Snowdrop actress Park Soo-Ryun dies from falling down stairs

South Korean actress Park Soo-Ryun who starred in the K-drama series Snowdrop died at the age of 29 after a fatal fall from the stairs.

According to a report by Korean news outlet Osen, Soo-Ryun was on her way home on Sunday afternoon, June 11, but accidentally fell down the stairs.

She was brought to the hospital but did not regain consciousness and was soon pronounced “brain dead”.

Soompi, meanwhile, reported that the actress’ bereaved family decided to “donate her organs to honor the deceased who was known for her warm heart”.

“Only her brain is unconscious, and her heart is still beating. There must be someone who desperately needs [organs]. As her mother and father, we will be able to live comforted [by the thought that her heart] has gone to someone and is beating,” Soo-ryun’s mother was quoted as saying.

The late Soo-ryun debuted as a musical actress in 2018 through the recital of the musical “Il Tenore” and went on to appear in several musicals such as “Finding Kim Jong Wook,” “Passing Through Love,” “Siddhartha,” and “The Day We Loved”.

She also starred as a female college student in the Kim Jisoo and Jung Hae In-starrer series Snowdrop in 2021.
