Vice Ganda took to social media to express his frustrations over news of Philippine Health Insurance Corp. (PhilHealth) executives who allegedly pocketed P15 billion from the state-run health insurance agency broke.
On Twitter, the Kapamilya host said the “thieves” should be punished for their actions.
“Parusahan ang mga magnanakaw sa PhilHealth. Ikulong! PAGDUSAHIN,” he wrote.
“Walang kompa-compassion sa mga demonyo! Mga ulul! Sumakit tuloy ang ulo ko,” he added.
On Tuesday, former PhilHealth anti-fraud legal officer Thorrsson Keith told the senate that the government health agency stole P15 billion from its funds. (READ: Whistleblower accuses PhilHealth execs of stealing P15 billion through fraud schemes)
Keith said the agency made unwarranted claims payments to certain private hospitals amounting to hundreds of millions of pesos.
While the agency’s chief, Ricardo Morales rejected the allegations of corruption. In a statement released on Thursday said that Keith’s claims were “made to malign officers that rejected his ambitions for higher offices which he is not qualified for.”
