Hip-hop legend Aristotle Pollisco, better known as Gloc-9, took to social media to send an uplifting message to Filipinos amid the coronavirus pandemic.
On his Facebook page, he reminded his fellow Filipinos that it is okay to be afraid in times like this.
“OK lang matakot mga Kababayan. Ako natatakot din ako pero alam ko din na walang nagiging matapang na hindi dumadaan sa takot,” Gloc-9 said in his post Tuesday.
“Kahit na anong pang pag daanan natin, sarili lang din natin ang may desisyon kung papatalo tayo. Kung babangon tayo o hindi,” he added.
The rapper stressed that an individual has the choice to look for a reason to be happy even during difficult times in their lives.
“Kaya bangon lang lagi!!! Hanggat buhay ka pa may laban ka palagi tandaan mo yan!!! Laban lang para sa mga Mahal natin. Laban lang LAGI!!!!!”
His post seemed to have resonated with netizens on Facebook as it collected 15,000 reactions, 205 comments and 2,100 shares.
Earlier, the rapper defended himself and others who have resorted to selling products online to earn money amid the pandemic.
He has been posting food and merchandise for sale on his social media accounts.
In a Facebook post, he responded to a fan who asked him why he has resorted to selling online. Gloc-9 said there is nothing wrong with selling, sharing that he used to clean garbage and toilets before becoming a rapper.

“Wala kang dapat ikahiya kung ang trabaho mo ay marangal at wala kang tinatapakang kapwa mo,” he ended his post.
