Lani Misalucha admits she’s still struggling with singing

Months after revealing she is already deaf in her right ear, Lani Misalucha admitted she is still struggling to sing.

The veteran singer, who’s been dubbed “Asia’s Nightingale,” explained that it was difficult to perform since she cannot hear her own voice and even the background music playing.

“With the tinnitus being too predominant in my head is oftentimes masking the other sounds around me that also oftentimes driving me nuts,” she said in an Instagram post.

Despite the struggle, she is slowly regaining her confidence with the help of supporters who are cheering her on.

“I cannot thank you enough for pouring out all your love and support to me,” she wrote.

The 56-year-old made the revelation about her condition back in December during her appearance the Christmas special of singing competition show, The Clash.

Misalucha shared that she and her husband Noli suffered from bacterial meningitis, not COVID-19 as some people initially thought.

“Medyo bingi, hindi pala medyo. Bingi po talaga ang nangyari sa akin, dito sa right side ko, kaming mag-asawa. Meron po kaming vestibular dysfunction kaya po kailangan namin ng alalay lagi,” she said.
