Ellen Adarna slammed a netizen who had something to say about how she pronounces her son Elias’ name.
The 32-year-old Cebuana actress recently shared via an Instagram story a clip of her teaching her two-year-old the letter E in the alphabet, using his name as an example.
Later on, in a separate Instagram story, Ellen shared a screenshot of a message from a netizen who sent her a link to how Elias should be pronounced.
“Hi Miss Ellen, I noticed you pronounce Elias differently. I’m sending you a link on how other countries pronounce such a beautiful name for a boy (in case you are curious). Please don’t get me wrong. I really love the name Elias. It sounds nicer in English-speaking countries imo,” said the netizen.
Ellen immediately lambasted the netizen for seemingly “imposing your judgments and taste on me.”
She also reminded the netizen that she has nothing to do with the way she pronounces her son’s name.
“IMO… Because we are all different right? Maybe I should also change how I pronounce my name to I-len or Y-len (with laughing emoji) Ellen = Elias. He is my son after all,” said Ellen.
“Your son’s name is probably Elias and it’s pronounced the way you want it. Go girl! You do you!”
Elias is Ellen’s child with Kapamilya actor John Lloyd Cruz.
