Mariel Rodriguez responds to netizen claiming she’s pregnant again

Mariel Rodriguez didn’t let pass a YouTube comment that said she’s pregnant again.

In the latest vlog entry about her “motherhood journey,” the 35-year-old TV host showed how she celebrated her second child Gabriela’s fifth month birthday in quarantine.

“Milestones of my kids are always celebrated. With the ECQ, we had to adjust everything but it ended up being more meaningful,” the mom of two girls captioned her vlog post.

The vlog has generated over 400 comments, one of which particularly caught her attention.

“Buntis uli (si) Mariel hala!” a seemingly shocked netizen posted in the comments section.

“Hindi ba pwedeng MATABA LANG kailangan ba buntis na agad?” was Mariel’s sassy response to the commenter in an Instagram story.

She also shared another YouTube comment from a fan that said, “I don’t care if tumaba ka as long as you nourish your child,” to which she responded, “There is a time for everything. Now is for Gabriela.”

Mariel is no stranger to negative comments on her postpartum weight gain.

She has been saying that she doesn’t mind gaining pounds because she’s breastfeeding.

In her previous cooking vlog, she jokingly said that she was expecting viewers to comment about how big she has become.

It seems though Mariel is not letting these comments get to her. She continues to open up her home and life as a mommy to Isabela, 3, and Gabriela — her two daughters with actor Robin Padilla.

The latest vlog showed a dressed-down Mariel packing relief goods, which she decided to give away to mark Gabriela or Gabzy’s five months.

According to her, one of her realizations during the quarantine is not to be afraid to use up savings to extend help to other people.

She gave these relief packs to her house helpers who then distributed these to relatives or family members in need.

Mariel said, “Hindi to yung panahon na kumita ka, definitely, and if meron kang ipon, that you’re saving for a rainy day, yung rainy day na yun, ito na yun.

“If for example nag-iipon ka for your future.

Kasi ngayon kelangan natin magtulungan talaga.”
