Kapuso actress Ashley Ortega has finally admitted that she is in a relationship with fellow GMA star Mavy Legaspi.
During an exclusive interview on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda on Monday Ashley, confirmed the long-standing speculation about her and Mavy.
When asked directly if they were officially together, the 26-year-old actress hesitated momentarily but eventually gave a clear response: “I think it’s obvious naman na… yes.”
Ashley shared that she and Mavy had known each other for years through common friends but only started going out one-on-one last year. She also clarified that both of them were single at the time they decided to date.
The actress revealed that she fell for Mavy because of his thoughtfulness and generosity, emphasizing that she values deep conversations more than grand romantic gestures.
“Mavy is really thoughtful and generous,” Ashley described Mavy. “Hindi naman kasi ako magrandeng tao na kailangan ng flowers or surprises or whatsoever. Ano lang talaga, more on conversational lang talaga ako.”
“I though before na hindi niya mama-match yung maturity ko kasi he’s younger than me, e. He’s three years younger than me. But he’s actually mature. Parang in our relationship, parang ako pa nga yung pabebe girl.
“He takes care of me. Ayun yung napatunayan niya while we were going out,” she added.
Ashley also expressed her appreciation for Mavy’s family, celebrity parents Carmina Villarroel and Zoren Legaspi, and his twin sister Cassy.
She recalled being warmly welcomed by the Legaspi family, even joining them for Christmas dinner last December.
Mavy and Ashley sparked dating rumors after being spotted holding hands during the Sinulog Festival in Cebu on January 19. A netizen captured the moment on video, fueling speculation about their relationship.
Adding to the intrigue, Mavy shared photos from the festival on Instagram a day later, further prompting fans to speculate about a possible romance between the two Kapuso stars.
It can be recalled that Mavy previously dated actress-singer Kyline Alcantara who is now in a relationship with professional basketball player Kobe Paras.
Meanwhile, Ashley was in a past relationship with Lucena City Mayor Mark Alcala.
