’Let them be’: Ian Veneracion reacts to ‘Incognito’ co-stars Maris, Anthony issue

Ian Veneracion expressed concern for ”Incognito” co-stars Maris Racal and Anthony Jenning amid their controversy.

The veteran actor recently gave his two cents on Maris and Anthony’s current situation, expressing more concern for the two, than its possible impact on their upcoming project.

“I’m hoping it even helps the project… But with me, I’m more concerned about them. You know, how nasty we can be,” Ian told The Philippine STAR on the sidelines of the launch of his upcoming new series, Rein Entertainment’s “Drug War: A Conspiracy of Silence,” in Singapore.

Ian mentioned that he reached out to Maris and Anthony, telling them to not pay attention to the criticisms.

“Wala lang. Chill!…Wag niyo pagpapansinin mga yan. Yun lang,” Ian told them through text messages.

“Nag-thank you lang sila…Basta ako nag-e-enjoy ako katrabaho sila, and what they do in the privacy of their bedroom is none of my business.”

With years of experience in the industry, Ian acknowledged that public scrutiny is an inevitable part of showbiz.

“With fame comes the possibility, always, of shame. I mean, that’s the two shades of the same thing. And wala, eh, it’s part of it, I guess,” Ian further said.

Maris and Anthony became a much-talked-about topic this week after the actor’s ex-girlfriend Jamela Villanueva exposed the popular loveteam’s alleged affair while working together on their projects.

Known to fans as MaThon, Maris and Anthony earlier released separate statements addressing the issue.
