“Feeling ko, nagpaalam pa nga ako sa mama ko…feeling ko talaga it’s really my second life.”
Ivana Alawi revealed a recent health scare she faced, calling it one of the painful things she had to go through.
The actress-vlogger released a vlog where she spoke up about her hospitalization due to complications in her ovaries alongside polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).
“Siguro kung hindi ako pumunta ng ospital, feeling ko wala na talaga ako ganung level. Nagpapunta na lang ako ng ospital noong hindi ko na kaya,” Ivana stated in her vlog as she detailed the discomforts she felt in her body, including the fluid that filled her stomach that made caused her difficulty in breathing.
“I got fluid in my stomach na sobrang napuno na siya. Day by day habang nasa ospital ako, umaangat nang umaangat ‘yung fluid sa tiyan ko. Mukha akong five months pregnant,” she shared.
“It grew day by day tapos ‘nung padulo na, parang patigas na siya nang patigas. Tapos ‘yung sakit, hindi na ako makahinga. Konting lakad ko lang, parang hihimatayin ako. Nanlalamig na ‘yung buong body ko tapos tumitirik daw ‘yung eyes ko,” narrated Ivana.
Ivana decided on having the fluid extracted from her stomach in the hospital after her condition tunred complicated.
“I felt like the liquid was already getting into my lungs. Tas parang sabi ko, ‘Butasan niyo na ako, kahit saan, matanggal lang tong sakit’,” said Ivana.
The doctors had to inject her painkillers to drain the almost two-liter fluid from her stomach and was confined in the hospital for a week.
Ivana said she started to feel better but is still in the process of recovering, saying: “Hindi pa one hundred percent okay.”
Following her health scare, the 27-year-old reminded viewers to prioritize their health and have themselves checked right away if they feel something odd with their body.
“Guys, kapag may naramdaman kayong sakit or kunwari sa buhay niyo may tinitiis ang sakit na ‘Ah, okay lang to magiging okay din ‘to.’ Magpa-check up kayo agad. Huwag niyo na antaying lumala. ‘Wag niyong pigilan yung sakit na parang ‘kaya ko ‘to, titiisin ko ‘to. The earlier, the better,” said Ivana.
The proceeds from Ivana’s latest vlog will be donated to a national hospital to help cover the medical bills of those who cannot afford them.
