“No one has made me feel that way.”
This was Maiqui Pineda’s response to a concerned netizen’s advice about not pressuring herself to get pregnant after her husband Robi Domingo expressed his wish to become a parent.
This comes after Robi posted about his “birthday blues” upon turning a year older and shared that he wishes for his wife’s healing and hopes of building a family with her.
“Hopefully next year when the Lord permits it and when her condition permits it, depende sa clearance ng doctor, I hope to introduce you to a baby Robi as well or baby Maiqui or why not twins,” he expressed his hopes of creating a family with Maiqui.
He added, “Maybe it’s not time yet, not yet. But I am hoping na mangyari ‘yun, I want Maiqui’s sickness to be gone so we can go back to our original plan and it’s my wish for my birthday. It’s not for me anymore.”

The TV personality’s sentiments, however, did not sit well with some netizens who criticized his birthday wishes of becoming a parent as pressuring for his wife who is currently fighting a rare autoimmune disease.
Following the criticisms, some netizens took to Maiqui’s social media account to ask about Robi’s birthday post after she opened a Q&A box on her Instagram post.
“(Robi) and I didn’t expect the overwhelming response that his post received. Saw a lot of different perspectives but I’m just here to freely message if there are any questions about it,” she prompted users for any inquiry.
In response to a question about her reaction to Robi’s birthday post, she wrote, “No issues at all. […] It’s both our goals, our plans and our wishes but we acknowledge the reality of things and have chosen to trust in God’s plans and timings instead.
But we are hopeful! Just have to wait a bit and do some work for now,” she added, “But the prayers and support mean a lot. So thank you!! THANK YOU SOOO MUCH FOR EVERYONE’S PRAYERS AND SUPPORT!!! WE SUPER APPRECIATE IT WE PUT OUR TRUST IN GOD’S PLANS FOR US”
In a separate post, Maiqui also responded to one of her followers’ messages which read, “Don’t pressure [yourself to] get pregnant!”
To this, she replied, “Don’t worry. [T]here’s really no pressure at all no one has made me feel that way. But I know it’s what I want so I’m just doing what I can to hopefully make that happen one day.”
“For now, this is my baby”, she concluded by introducing her fur baby to her followers.
Robi and Maiqui tied the knot last January in a private and intimate church ceremony more than a year after their engagement.
