Robi Domingo wishes for wife Maiqui Pineda’s recovery, fatherhood for 35th birthday

Kapamilya host Robi Domingo grew emotional as he reflected on his birthday, sharing his wishes for his wife’s healing and hopes of becoming a parent.

In a heartfelt video shared on his Instagram account celebrating his 35th birthday, Robi shared feeling blue during his special occasion.

“Hey, guys! It’s my birthday, and I’m 35! Can you believe it?,” he began.

“I’m having some birthday blues. Some people say, it’s time na nararamdaman mo na, ‘Okay, tumatanda ka na.’ But also, it’s a time na pwede kang mag-reflect sa buhay mo, and that’s what I’m gonna do right now,” Robi expressed himself in the video.

Robi revealed his personal goals for the next five years, expressing his desire to grow as a “better house-band and husband.”

He also shared his hopes of becoming a father, saying, “Hopefully next year when the Lord permits it and when her condition permits it, depende sa clearance ng doctor, I hope to introduce you to a baby Robi as well or baby Maiqui or why not twins.”

The TV host candidly spoke about the struggles he and his wife, Maiqui Pineda, have been facing, particularly concerning her health.

Robi previously shared that Maiqui is bravely fighting a rare autoimmune disease called dermatomyositis, which causes muscle weakness and skin inflammation.

“Alam mo ‘yung may plano ka dati, especially I’m a man with a plan all the time, talagang nakaayos iyan. But last year, was really a blow and questioned me ‘Ano ba ang nangyayari, ano bang mangyayari’ especially with Maiqui,” Robi continued.

“And then nakakasa na ako na by this year, actually by this month, sana mayroon na akong anak ‘di ba? And it happened, it’s hard,” he added.

Sa kabila ng kondisyon ng asawa, umaasa si Robi na magiging ama rin siya. “Maybe it’s not time yet, not yet. But I am hoping na mangyari ‘yun, I want Maiqui’s sickness to be gone so we can go back to our original plan and it’s my wish for my birthday. It’s not for me anymore.”

Despite the challenges, Robi remains hopeful of becoming a father in the future, saying, “Maybe it’s not time yet, not yet. But I am hoping na mangyari ‘yun.

He went on to express that his primary wish for his birthday is for his partner to recover from her illness.

“I want Maiqui’s sickness to be gone so we can go back to our original plan and it’s my wish for my birthday. It’s not for me anymore,” he said.

Robi’s emotional revelation resonated with his fans and followers, many of whom offered their support and well wishes for his journey ahead.

Last January, Robi and Maiqui tied the knot in a private and intimate church ceremony more than a year after their engagement.
