Cornerstone Entertainment to take legal action over online threats against G22’s Jaz

Fans of P-pop girl group G22 have recently taken to social media to demand protection for the group, particularly for member Jaz, after a disturbing conversation surfaced online.

The conversation in question allegedly involved online users of a group message sharing “jokes” about “stabbing” Jaz.

The incident quickly drew backlash from the group’s fanbase, fondly known as Bullets, who trended the tag “#ProtectG22” on X (formerly Twitter), as fans strongly condemned the actions and called for accountability.

Another G22 member, AJ, publicly defended Jaz in a post on X, emphasizing the seriousness of the situation.

@jasminehenryy is a kween baddie but a ray of sunshine. Wala ako masabi but all good things about this girl,” AJ described Jaz.

“If you wish to take that away from her, you will never. I’ll be at the forefront to protect my girls. Threats and Violence will NEVER be ok kahit joke pa yan,” the member stated, standing firm against the threats directed at her bandmate.

G22 Alfea also rallied in support and concern for her fellow member, writing on X, “Walang may deserves ng ganon lalo na si @jasminehenryy namin.”

In response to the situation, Cornerstone Entertainment, which manages G22, issued an official statement reminding the public of the legal consequences of posting or sharing threats, irresponsible statements, or libelous comments against Jaz.

The company stressed that such actions are punishable under the anti-cybercrime law and assured fans that they will investigate the posts and take the necessary legal actions.

Fans continue to express their support for G22 and their commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of the group’s members.
