29-year-old Rose Anne Valencia – Quizon said that she wanted to keep their baby safe after her husband, Michael, unexpectedly died in January 2024, while she was three months pregnant.
Until now, Rose couldn’t believe that her husband wasn’t with her on their journey to parenthood.
Pero dahil kay baby nagulat ako bigla akong naging matatag,” she told The Philippine STAR.
She is set to welcome their baby boy, Jan Oliver, in July 2024.
Positive thinker,’” Rose shared.
Rose and Michael were in a relationship for almost a decade before getting married.
“Eleven years po kaming mag boyfriend-girlfriend. Nagkakilala po kami sa church po. ‘Yung 11 years po namin, pinractice po namin ‘yung celibacy. Talagang true love waits po ‘yung pinanindigan po namin at nirespeto niya po,” Rose said.
After tying the knot in 2022, it took them more than a year before they got pregnant.
Binigay po sa amin one year and three months [after marriage].”
Rose told Michael that she was pregnant with their first baby on December 5, 2023, and her husband’s reaction was priceless.
Rose promised to be stronger for their first baby despite her husband’s absence.
“Dear baby, I love you so much. Your daddy and I prayed for you. Your daddy loves you so much. He never left us. He’s always in our hearts. I will love you as much as your Daddy loves you and how much caring, loving, sweet, and understanding he was to mommy. He is watching us from above and will never leave our side. Love, Mommy,” Rose read the letter she wrote in baby Jan Oliver’s baby book.
On TikTok, netizens condole and comfort Rose on her motherhood journey without her husband.
“Hugs Ma’am! Praying for you and baby,” a user commented.
“Stay strong mommy! Para kay baby,” another said.
