Daniel Padilla sings his heart out to ‘Hinahanap-Hanap Kita’

Kapamilya actor Daniel Padilla seemed to be having the blues in a video of him singing his heart out to his own rendition of “Hinahanap-Hanap Kita”.

Daniel recently celebrated his 29th birthday over the weekend together with his family and closest friends in Tanauan, Batangas.

In clips shared online, the birthday celebrant can be seen treating his guests with a mini birthday concert of OPM hits.

One of the songs that caught netizens’ attention was his performance of his 2012 release “Hinahanap-Hanap Kita”.

In several videos shared on TikTok, Daniel appeared to have altered the lyrics of the classic OPM love song.

In one part, Padilla changed the original lines, “Ang ating ending… hatid sa bahay niyo. Sabay ‘goodnight’, sabay may kiss, sabay ‘bye bye'”, to “Sabay ‘goodnight’, sabay walang kiss, sabay ‘bye bye'”.

In another video, Daniel can be heard belting out his adlib to the original lyric, “Mukha yatang nilimot na ng puso mong biglang lumisan”, and putting an emphasis to, “at may kapiling ka nang iba”, by adding a curse word to it.

The lyrics earned cheers from the lively crowd, hyping up their support for the artist channeling his emotions through his passion for music.

The viral clips garnered mixed reactions from online users with some connecting Daniel’s rendition to his split with ex-girlfriend, Kathryn Bernardo.

Some expressed their support for the actor as they considered his previous trips and musical performances as ways for him to “heal” and “move on” from the heartbreak and controversies brought about by his separation from his former reel and real-life partner.

Prior to this, the actor-singer visited cancer patients and rescued animals for his special day.
