Alden Richards recently made an exception for former leading lady Kathryn Bernardo by showing off his musical talent during her star-studded birthday celebration.
Kathryn marked her 28th birthday last Tuesday, March 26, together with her close friends and fellow celebrities aboard a yacht and at a resort in Palawan.
The actor graced the celebration along with their former co-stars in the 2019 blockbuster film “Hello, Love Goodbye”, including Kakai Bautista, Lovely Abella, and Maymay Entrata.
The duet performance, captured in a viral video, showcased Alden and Kakai singing the emotional ballad “Bakit Ngayon Ka Lang.”
In the midst of their performance, Alden humorously remarked, “Panis. Happy birthday, Kath! Hindi ko ginagawa ‘to, putek!”
The Kapuso heartthrob jokingly admitted that he doesn’t usually perform at parties, but he was more than willing to do it for Kathryn.
The camera then shifted to Kathryn, who was joyfully reacting to the surprise duet.
Alden’s impromptu performance not only delighted Kathryn and their fellow guests but also sparked excitement among their fans.
It can be recalled that Alden expressed his interest in doing a sequel to Hello Love Goodbye, while also lauding Kathryn’s current status, and significant growth in life, especially in her career.
