After years of reported tension, Pinay pop icon Sarah Geronimo has confirmed that she and her Mommy Divine Geronimo are now on good terms.
During an interview with ABS-CBN News, alongside her husband, Matteo Guidicelli, the actress-singer proudly shared that her mother have reestablished communication and that she had also congratulated her on her latest achievements.
“Yes! Thank you, Lord! I love you, Ma!” exclaimed the Kapamilya superstar when asked if she and her mother are now on good terms.
Matteo chimed in, “Love you ‘Ma. We love our moms.”
In another interview with Pilipino Star Ngayon during “Green Market”, a plant-based market event held at G Studios in Alabang last weekend, Sarah also shared that her mother regularly sends her food from their farm in Tanay.
“Si Mama ko rin nagbebenta ng fresh produce niya. Fruits, binibigyan ako ni mama, red rice, ganyan, favorite ko,” the OPM hitmaker added.
Sarah also promoted her mom’s farm and business with photos of the organic products in her Instagram stories.
It is worth noting that the artist previously referred to her Mommy Divine as her “hero”, when she accepted her Global Force Award at the Billboard Women in Music Awards on March 7, hinting that the two had already reconciled.
This development comes after a reported period of estrangement between the popular mother-and-daughter duo, which stemmed from Sarah’s marriage to Matteo.
It can be recalled that the couple made headlines after their “secret wedding” back in February 2020 resulted in a rift with her parents.
