Kris Aquino entrusts kids to sisters and Boy Abunda amid worsening health condition

Kris maintained she is determined to fight for her health for the sake of her sons, Josh and Bimby, but has already entrusted her kids to the care of close friend Boy Abunda and her sisters.

The former actress-host who’s currently based in the United States for the treatment of her multiple autoimmune diseases , recently talked about her worsening health condition including having cardiomyopathy.

“Our heart is surrounded by muscles para maprotektahan ang puso. ‘Yung muscles na ‘yun na surrounding my heart, magang-maga sila,” Kris stated  in an interview with Abunda on his noontime talk show program.

Kris also asked for continued prayers as her doctors will be trying her biological medicine in the coming week for a chance to “save my heart”.

“Monday, wala na akong immunity, puwede na akong dapuan ng kahit anong sakit at wala na akong panlaban dun,” Kris shared about the potential risks that may come with the upcoming treatment.

With her current condition, Kris is drawing strength from her sons, saying she will fight for her life to be with them longer.

“Bimb is only 16. I made a promise to him na until he becomes an adult, I will really do everything, lahat gagawin ko kasi hindi naman sikreto sa mga tao na ang kuya niya falls under the autism spectrum. Ako mismo, ako lang ang nagpalaki dun sa dalawa. Kailangan pa nila ako,” said Kris in the interview.

Kris also extended her gratitude to Abunda and her sisters for promising to look after her sons amid the health scare she is facing.

“I just wanna take this opportunity Boy, na magpasalamat sa’yo because nangako ka sa akin, kagaya ng ilan sa pinakamalapit na kaibigan ko at yung mga kapatid kong babae, nangako sila na kung ano man ang mangyayari, mayroon akong dalawang kaibigan na lilipad dito [sa US] para samahan yung two boys,” stated Kris.

She added, “You (also) promised me, sorry dun sa show mo, pero you said na kung may mabalitaan ka, tatawagan ka ni Alvin (personal assistant ni Kris), sasakay ka kaagad ng eroplano to be here with me. I love you so much.”

“I am entrusting Bimb with you because the two will actually be going home in two weeks.”

Kris also penned a heartfelt message for her boys in an Instagram post to celebrate her 53rd birthday which also falls on Valentine’s Day.

“Just in case this is the last birthday I get to celebrate here on earth, THANK YOU kuya & bimb for the most precious privilege of being chosen to be your mom. THANK YOU to my sisters for their love & generosity. THANK YOU to my small but very close circle of cousins & friends who have shared my life and their lives with me. THANK YOU to all of you for making all my childhood dreams come true,” she wrote.

Kris said she’s looking forward to her next chapter – being a stage mother to son Bimby who might probably enter the showbiz industry to help pay her medical bills.
