Viral ngayon sa social media ang isang TikTok video na ini-upload ng netizen na si Veronica Balayo kung saan makikita ang umano’y “resemblance” niya sa foto-óleo ni Belen Ocampo, ina ng historian na si Ambeth Ocampo.
Ayon kay Veronica, first time niya lamang umanong bumisita sa National Museum kung saan naka-display ang naturang photo-oleo.
“It was my last day in Manila after staying for 2 weeks for work and me and my officemates planned to visit National Museum and Intramuros before our 8 P.M. flight. We visited National Museum hoping to take a look [at the] Spolarium,” pahayag ni Veronica sa ekslusibong interview ng Pilipino Star Ngayon Digital.
Kwento pa ni Veronica, tila hindi rin siya makapaniwala na mayroon siyang resemblance sa photo-oleo.
“Actually joke joke ko lang talaga yun na parang ako, but after seeing the photo sinabi ko sa officemate ko, ‘Bakit parang ako?!’ Sabi nila ‘Oo nga,’ and then yun na nag-picture ako together with the photo without even knowing kung sino yun,” dagdag niya pa.
“I can’t stop looking at our photo together after it was taken. Para bang ‘di ako makapaniwala. Una talaga na appreciate ko, ‘Uy ang ganda pero teka bakit parang ako’ Kumbaga sa dami namang art pieces sa museum dun pa ako napadpad. I think it was an immediate reaction like very quick realization na parang hawig ko siya and after that I can’t stop looking at our photo,” pagpapatuloy niya.
“Even my caption says ‘Am I her reincarnation?’ I’m even wondering if this is my second life pero I feel so honored that they are calling that it’s like reincarnation because Belen Ocampo is such a fine woman,” saad pa ni Veronica.
Kaugnay naman nito, ipinost din ni Ambeth ang pictures ni Veronica sa photo-oleo ng kanyang ina sa kanyang Facebook page.
“Trending on Tiktok video this morning was the post of Veronica Balayo, a recent visitor to the National Museum who resembles a photo-oleo of my mother from the 1950’s! The video has earned over 400,000 likes!” wika nito sa kanyang Facebook post.
“After reading all the details about her[,] seeing the posts of Mr. Ambeth… I was really fascinated and hoping I would have a bright future and a happy life just like [his] mom Belen Ocampo,” pahayag pa ni Veronica.
