SB19 successfully resolves name and logo rights issue

Mahalima is back, A’Tins!

P-pop boy group SB19 has officially secured ownership of both its group name and logo, as confirmed by their new label, 1Z Entertainment.

On Tuesday, December 5, the agency announced in its official statement that they have settled an agreement with the group’s previous talent management ShowBT Philippines.

“We formally announce that we have come to an amicable agreement with ShowBT Philippines Corp. through a fair and equitable resolution,” the statement read.

“Thank you for your patience and unwavering support toward SB19 and 1Z Entertainment. Pablo, Josh, Stell, Ken, and Justin eagerly anticipate reconnecting with all of you in their upcoming endeavors. We can’t wait to see you all again soon,” 1Z Entertainment added.

SB19 previously canceled three of the international shows of their PAGTATAG world tour as the dispute for their ownership rights ensued.

At the time, their fans, fondly known as A’Tins, referred to the group as “Mahalima” after they parted ways from ShowBT, who was said to legally own the trademark for the name SB19 as well as the rights to their songs, according to PEP.

This was then followed by the establishment of their own company in October, 1Z Entertainment, with one of its members, Pablo, as the chief executive officer.

A’Tins expressed their joy for the long-awaited news on social media, trending the words “ATIN ANG SB19” and “#MahalimaIsBack” on X.
