An old interview with director Cathy Garcia-Sampana resurfaced online where she explained the script used by Kathryn Bernardo in an emotional scene of The Hows Of Us.
On TikTok, the director’s interview with Boy Abunda edited with a clip of a scene from the movie between Kathryn and her co-star and ex-boyfriend Daniel Padilla uploaded by user @ashley_kl garnered over five million views and more than 600,000 likes on the platform.

In the interview, Direk Cathy revealed that some of the movie’s lines were made by Kathryn herself, particularly in one scene where her’s and Daniel’s characters, George and Primo, confronted each other about their relationship.
“A part of that confrontation, yung sinabi mong ‘pagod na ako’ is Kathryn’s,” she said.
According to Direk Cathy, she asked the actress to compose a letter about all the things that made her feel drained.
“Yes, I asked her to write the script. Not all is hers, but I asked her, ‘Anak, write a letter. Lahat nung pagod ka na. Isulat mo saan ka pagod na,'” she explained.
Kathryn’s grievances gave life to the heartwrenching scene where George poured her out to Primo, confessing that she had grown weary of both herself and their life together.
The Hows Of Us was their last movie together in 2018, which was also the same year they went public with their long-term relationship.
Kathryn and Daniel recently confirmed their split after being together for 11 years.
