Actress Julia Baretto has reacted to rumors of a secret wedding to longtime boyfriend Gerald Anderson.
Entertainment news outlet PEP uploaded a video of her interview during the Preview Ball 2023 held last Sept. 8, at the grand ballroom of Manila Marriott Hotel in Pasay City where she was asked about being “secretly married” to the hunk actor.
Julia firmly denied the allegations saying, “Walang ganon, walang ganon. Walang secret, secret. Mahirap magka-secret sa mundong mabilis ang balita.”
After being continuously bombarded by questions about marriage, the actress countered the reporters, “Bakit niyo ba kami minamadali?”
She added that both of them are currently “happy in their lives” and that she sees marriage as something to “look forward to” but questioned why it needs to be rushed.
“It’s something to be shared when the two people are ready to share such a thing. I don’t it should be asked constantly. I feel like when the time comes, it comes. I don’t know why everybody is rushing us,” Julia said.
When a reporter tried to follow up about Gerald, Julia cut them and urged them to drop the subject.
Gerald recently made headlines after his interaction with his ex-girlfriend Maja Salvador who was accompanied by her husband Rambo Nuñez during their attendance at a FIBA World Cup 2023 game.
