‘I’m super happy for her’: Enrique Gil addresses breakup rumors with Liza Soberano

Enrique Gil has addressed persistent speculations that he and longtime girlfriend Liza Soberano have broken up.

The actor, who’s set to make his big screen comeback, shared in an interview on TV Patrol that despite them having busy schedules, he and Liza are supportive of each other’s projects.

“We’re good, we’re good. You know, I’m busy with all my projects. She’s busy with all her projects naman. She’s focusing on international work which is super good for her, said Enrique.

He continued, “Kahit super busy kami, we still support each other no matter what. So yeah, I’m super happy for her, she is super happy for me, too.”

Enrique’s remark came a month after Liza’s former talent manager Ogie Diaz claimed in his YouTube channel that the couple ended their eight-year relationship.

Amid the split claims, Liza and Enrique, more popularly known as LizQuen to fans, were spotted in one frame in a photo shared by the actress’ US-based former road manager Maquie Raquiza who flew back to the Philippines for a vacation.

Fans were also elated when Enrique left comments on Liza’s Instagram post featuring her cover shoot for a Grazia Singapore magazine’s June/July 2023 issue.

Rumors about Liza and Enrique’s supposed breakup surfaced last year in June, after a blind item about a reel and reel couple who have parted ways made rounds online.

Enrique’s absence on Liza’s Instagram page added fuel to the separation rumors.

In a previous vlog of Bea Alonzo, Liza explained she’s not posting about her beau on social media because she’s trying to build a solo career away from their loveteam.

“I’m staying away from the loveteam thing. It’s hard because everything that I’m trying to do now, as a solo artist, isn’t being taken seriously or like, it’s not being respected. It’s being seen as something negative,” she said.
