Netizens poke fun at Karla Estrada’s ‘NPA’ post

According to local news outlet Pilipino Star Ngayon, Face 2 Face host Karla Estrada took to Instagram on Tuesday, June 6, her enthusiasm in her nearing promotion to becoming a Philippine Army Reservist.

In her post, Karla shared her journey towards becoming a part of AFP’s reserve force along with a slideshow video showing photos she took with Armed Forces of Philippines (AFP) military officers.

“Commission into the reserve Force,AFP. Soon to be a Philippine Army Resevist. #toservewithloveformycountry,” she wrote in her post.

Played in the IG reel is the song titled, “Ang Bagong Hukbong Bayan (Anthem of the New People’s Army)” which particularly caught netizens’ attention.

The NPA is led by the Communist Party of the Philippines, who is currently at war with the Philippine Army and AFP.

Netizens were quick to download the now-deleted video which is now making rounds on social media.

“Anthem daw ng NPA yan karla,” commented IG user @victorcapili.

“NPA ka? Research muna tungkol sa kanta na ginagamit,” added @jireh360.

Despite Karla’s controversial “blooper” moment, showbiz friends still showered her with praises on her achievement.

“Wow!!! Proud of you, mare!!!,” Ruffa Gutierrez said.

Fellow host Amy Perez-Castillo also said “Galing! Congratulations!”
