Fil-Am singer H.E.R. gushes over Vogue Philippines cover

Filipino-American singer Gabriella Sarmiento Wilson, better known as H.E.R, couldn’t help but gush as she announced her cover girl status for Vogue Philippines.

The proud Filipina shared how honored she was to feature her story on the magazine’s February issue.

“Never thought I would be on the cover of Vogue. The fact that it’s Vogue Philippines means EVERYTHING TO ME. I am so grateful and excited for this next chapter,” she wrote.

On her cover story, it was revealed that she “reconnected with her roots” as they shot her stunning snaps in a field in Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija.

One striking snap, even featured a tricycle in the middle of a field, which seemed to be a reference to her Filipino roots.

Under her Instagram post, fans and friends gushed as they expressed how this big feature was “long overdue.”

Just in December, the musician showcased her FIlipino roots during ABC’s television adaptation of Beauty and the Beast. As the Disney princess, Belle, H.E.R. had one of her costumes adorned with Baybayin letters.
